This thread is related to the anti sexism enforcement requests lately in this sub-forum, don't you think that one of the requests should be the abolish of the smurfs here?

 Anyone using those should get a warning for sexism:
:smurfin: :smurf: :brilsmurf: :bigsmurf:

Why? :?:

Let's look deeper in the smurfs and in particular the smurfette character.

First of all, all smurfs are named by their professions/character like Handy, Brainy, Papa smurf,...except the smurfette, who is just defined by her gender.

And she was the only female in the whole smurf village, so she represents all women for the smurfs.

Also the Smurfette was born of evil creation by Gargamel -such a nice guy.

Let's look into the ingredients he used to create Smurfette.

In the comic books, the ingredients for creating a Smurfette are:

Quote:
a pinch of coquetry
a good layer of bias
three crocodile tears
a lizard brain
viper tongue powder
one carat of sympathy
a handful of wrath
one finger of lies
a thimble of gluttony
a pint of bad faith
a pinch of inconscience
a bit of sentimentality
a measure of silliness
a measure of cunning
much ingenuity and stubbornness
a candle that has burned at both ends

in the animated series show:
Quote:
blue clay
sugar and spice but nothing nice
crocodile tears
half a pack of lies
a chatter of a magpie
the hardest stone for her heart.

viper, crocodile tears, pack of lies ...all don't sound really good.

But that's not all, the first version of Smurfette was dark-short-haired with "less feminine" clothes and no make up, she was considered back then nothing but a bad omen and troublemaker for the Smurfs, she was also manipulative using seduction.

and if I recall right, she was trying to destroy the village.

But then, Papa smurf created a spell to abolish "evil" from her and she transformed to the blondish 'good girl' and more-girly Smurfette, promoting lookism.

And once she got her new looks she was accepted by the smurf village.

Also smurfs reaction to her promote rape culture and objectification:

Notice how the smurfette smiley is the only one with red lipstick. Hmm.

The Indiana Jones movies has a few. Also, the James Bond movies have bad girls of all types.

And there's Kill Bill too, but I was thinking cartoons and comics.

I suppose the little blonde girl on The Bad Seed counts as a very precocious blonde villianess
Seemed like in most of the old Disney cartoons the evil woman was brunette.
I never though of Beatrix Kiddo as a villianess.
This was an interesting watch.

I meant the one eyed villain in Kill bill, Elle Driver.

But yeah, in Disney there's no blonde villain I am aware of.

Hitler and Disney didn't believe blonds could be villains
although both were neither
