Discuss both sides problems openly and honestly. It's the harder way of doing things, but it usually works out better that way.

Also, tell him to stop groping people, please. It's creepy.

Do you know any of his family? Or maybe his closest friend(s)? If so maybe you could consider discussing the issue with them, and see what they make of the situation. Other people might be in a better position to influence his actions than you are at this time.

I'm not sure if I explained correctly. I meant that this other condition, the "hypersexuality", is not necessarily related to, nor due to, nor a part of, Autism. Note also that autism is not the only "condition" that can cause a person to miss social cues, if I judge by the things you said about him, it sounds like he could be a narcissistic, and they can also miss social cues. Also a person doesn't get diagnosed with Autism just because they miss a few social cues, there has to be more, and some significant impairments.

Either way tho, whether your friend is actually autistic, or narcissistic, or both, or neither, and whether his "hypersexuality" is related to autism or other condition, or not, the fact is that it this "hypersexuality" is turning him into a sex offender, and I agree that he should see a psychologist. If he grabbed my "privates" it would not end well.

Well its kind of like this. I am not a Psychologist. I am not a doctor. I don't have a degree in any of this. In my mind the two are related especially after a simple google search. However lets just say they might not be related. Anything is possible. As you said he could have a Narcissistic personality disorder. He could have the male version of nymphomania (I think thats the word? Regardless this is a real condition recognized by the medical community). I don't want to slander all people with autism as having this condition. In my mind they are related and its a recessive trait. But I know one person with autism since when did that make me an expert is the other argument. You guys have had enough bad media lately with that Elliott Rodgers idiot in the news which by the way had nothing, absolutely nothing to do with aspergers or autism he was just a huge d-bag. So anyway on that topic of the touching thats just my opinion I am no doctor. I don't know if autism is hereditary if it is and you are having children it might be worthwhile to invest some time googling this. I have a 15% chance of having a child with schizophrenia because of the parent I have so thus far i've chosen not to have kids not just for that reason but that is one and schizophrenia I would consider a serious disorder versus autism can kind of be like being left handed depending on how the autism affects a persons life. So anyway yes in this mans case I believe theres a link but if every bank robber wears shoes do we now ban shoes since people are wearing them to rob banks no I mean sometimes there is no relationship between two things.

Ok heres the thing

Because we are older his parents are now what I would call elderly (mine too)

Like most human beings myself included and probably all of you, he repeats the same stories over and over. Hey we all do it most of us just don't realize it but if you know someone 10 years like I have known this man you hear the same stories.

Now this man is over 6 feet tall and used to be the biggest kid in his class as an adolescent. Because of health issues and refusing to work out, eat nutritiously or take care of his body he is frail today. However the story he tells is of his mother spanking him and then reaching to strike him and him grabbing her arm and telling her to never hit him again and she got the message.

I feel she wanted to slap the groping out of him and I would too as a parent but not without trying a Behavioral Specialist first. So his parents basically made an attempt to stop the behavior I am sure of it. It probably was not fun getting called into parent-teacher conferences about your son touching Sally's no no spots. They tried to stop the behavior but he persisted and now with everyone being adults its not a situation they can correct or maybe they made numerous attempts to correct it to no avail. Anyway I could try to have a heart to heart with him at some point but the tone would have to be accepting, positive etc because I know his life at times brings him down and gets him depressed so I don't want to add to that.

Good for you that you stopped drinking. That is excellent.
I think your friend needs professional help. Whatever is causing his hypersexuality is not what matters. What matters is that he is a sex offender and he needs professional help. He is molesting people and that can get him jail time. I would recommend that you contact a person who is qualified to help him like some kind of therapist and get him to go see that person. I don't think you can help him yourself.
