Yeah! in some places you have to lean over and scream into peoples ear if you want to talk

Sometimes when I just listen to music, I like it really loud.

It's your turn to choose a song.

I like "American Pie" by Don McLean.

It's a really moving song, in my opinion.

Or....as an alternative: "Take on me" by a Norwegian band known as "Ah Ah" or something like that.

"Aha" had a great video to that song, too.

Any dance you want.

It could be a waltz----or it could be both of us "boogie-ing" to the rhythm of the music, wherein we are both together and individual people.

What is your favorite dance to do?

Ok, let's do some boggie woggie then.

I'll try and copy your moves.

I don't know any particular dances. I have mostly danced in discotheques in my teens.

Where did you learn to dance?

I never actually learned to dance LOL

When one "slow dances," one just goes according to the rhythm of the music, and to the rhythm of the other person, too.

I used to dance in clubs/discos sometimes. A long time ago. A boogie type of dance. This involves "moving to the music" without any sort of formal "dance steps."

Nowadays, I'm a little better than I used to be. I can dance a simple "hustle/jitterbug" sort of dance. But not with any great ability.

Yeah I've tried this, but with no success. Maybe it's because I should be the one to lead

Also I think I've danced with more success when I've had some alcohol. It has a relaxing effect.

There is usually a tacit understanding among a couple as to who "leads."

A man could lead. A woman could lead. It depends upon the mood of both.

If I find a woman to be shy, I would probably "lead," but would let her "lead," should she seem, based on bodily movements, to want to "lead."

That sounds like a good way to handle it :)

I thought the man was supposed to lead, and that it would be seen as weird if it was the other way around.

That goes to show how little I know about this.

I would say the man leads most of the time.

But if a woman is known to be a really good dancer and the man is not, she might start by leading, but might allow the man to lead later.

Men still dip women, though--and not the other way around.

The Tango, to me, is a sort of competition between men and women.

Thank you for the dance.

I have enjoyed myself!
