The garden is incredible, fresh green beans and other veggies and lots and lots of flowers. The creek is nice to swim in,lightning bugs and butterflies are out.
The only bad things are ticks, surprise wasp nests and lots of yard work.

Things I like: not having to bundle up in heavy clothes, no school, my birthday is in August, popsicles, frappuccinos, froyo etc. I can do outdoor activities, biking, swimming, beach, or just going for a nice evening walk. :)

Things I dislike: Summer rain showers, mosquitoes and other bugs, I get bad environmental allergies in summer(especially when it rains), when its so hot, dry and humid that I can't sleep at night and my fan can't cool me off. :?

I can't take the heat and I don't like light nights.

In a nutshell I like it to be cold and dark.

I hate wearing shorts, I hate becoming a sweaty mess when walk for more than a few minutes anywhere and then my long pants stick to my legs, and I hate not being able to go swimming. I consider a summer without swimming to be a total waste, but I hardly ever get to do it any more. Even though there are beaches everywhere -I'm living on an island for Pete's sake- they are all too far away for me to visit without a car, and I don't drive. And even if I could go to the beaches the water is usually still freezing or full of jellyfish. I find it very bizarre that people go to the beach just to lay in the sun and not go in the water at all. Sounds very boring to me, if I want to lay down and do nothing I do it on my couch with the AC on so at least I don't have to worry about sunburn and heatstroke. I'm very nervous about going in the sun and getting burned, but I hate wearing sunscreen so I only put it on if I'm planning to be outdoors for a long period of time, which I've hardly done yet. I'm hoping my parents will invite me down to use their swimming pool now that my dad finally has it cleaned up, but who knows when they'll have time for that? I find it hard to enjoy any outdoor events like the Canada Day festivities or Action Week which is in early August because it's too hot and sticky and most of it is really boring, anyway. I seem to hate summer more every year, even when the winter was particularly long and hard and spring not much better. Sometimes I sit here and think about what people with cars and money are doing right now. Maybe going on a trip somewhere where it's actually fun to be outside, because they have big swimming pools and water slides, or to a beach where the water's actually above freezing. But I don't get to do any of that here. I hate living here. Whenever my mother talks about how beautiful it is here, which is almost every time I go visit my parent's in the country, I want to throw up. :x I think I'll hibernate until September, or go up to the Northwest Territories where my uncle lives for the rest of the season. :)
