My aunt doesn't have a job. She lives in a cluttered apartment and gets money buy selling stuff at a flea market. How can I help her live a more fulfilling, profitable, and sociable life?

Is she happy as she is, or does she want to make a change?

She acts happy in public, but the way she yells at her pets makes me think that she's miserable deep down. She is trying to change, though.

Has she a college degree?

Is she on any kind of disability?

Not to my knowledge.

I would say: if she's not in debt, she's able to afford to pay her rent/mortgage every month, and she likes selling stuff at the flea market, that I wouldn't make a fuss about it.

The cluttered house: that's another matter. Is she a hoarder?

If she is truly happy the way she lives, then I wouldn't worry about it. If you do think she is miserable inside, then she has some unresolved issue or desire that she hasn't or doesn't think she can fulfill. You can try to talk to her and over time gently touch on it, and maybe figure out what it is. If you do figure it out, then maybe you can help. Oftentimes you can't though. I think most people can only help themselves, and only if they really want to.

She hasn't found her passion yet. She only has a few skills. She has virtually no connections.

Maybe she's just one of those people who likes to sell stuff at the flea market.

Like I stated before: if she could afford to pay her mortgage/rent every month.......
