My family think i still identify as a boy when i'm really nonbinary. They found my tumblr and kinda made fun of me using it pronouns when i said i was more comfortable with then they pronouns to be really really honest. My mom is letting me enter into my towns festival's queen contest and is not questioning why i want to enter for some odd reason. I'm not sure if they accepted that i'm not binary or what.

If you live in NYC, you could also vie to become Mermaid Queen. They have a Mermaid parade every year in Coney Island, Brooklyn.

Eh, they could be like my parents -- acknowledge kid is trans, make no changes in form of address.
