the drug has side effects including high cholesterol and low blood clotting ability. also rarely associated with a fatal neurologic disease.

They run around in circles and have severe language delay.

Seriously, I think they are anxious and less sociable then other mice.

i don't know how they manifest behaviorally, but they have too many neural connections, just like autistic humans.

You've hit the nail on the head - mice don't have autism, they just sometimes display some behaviours that are associated with autism.

Mouse models are troublesome at the best of times. With autism, they're probably nigh on useless.

the phrase used in the report was "autistic-like mice", whatever that might mean. the doctor also said that these are "unnecessary synapses", just because there's more than in the NT brain. much as i hate being so different in a world of NT's, IMO all my synapses are necessary to make me, me.

I wouldn be surprised at all if animals can have this as well, it seems kinda silly even arrogant to assume that somehow only us superior humans can have this. Its like the whole thing with the soul and stuff.

I mean even way back, people who that gay'ness was something only humans have, yet today we know that animals are gay as well.

I mean ive definitely seen animals that act out of character, even if they are supposed to be social, but just wanna be left alone.

So i wouldn be surprised at all.

Maybe these mice love cats and love to watch Star Trek.
