Although it's ultimately inspired by the Superman cartoons from the 1940's, the art style of Bruce Timm (the man behind the DCAU) is considered one of the most unique styles of animation, especially when it comes to superhero cartoons. Since many people have attempted to mimic his style, I thought I would make this thread to pay homage to it.

Update: Other artistic influences Bruce Timm has cited for his style include Chester Gould's Dick Tracy, and Dan DeCarlo's style of drawing females in Archie Comics.
Also, I've got some more fan art links:

Drawings:
various characters from Watchmen
Deadpool
various images of various characters from various franchises, collected by Dorkly

Figurines:
various characters from Watchmen
various comic book characters (not all figurines were made in that style; only look for Power Girl, Silk Spectre II, Rorschach, & Dr. Manhattan)

I think Cartoon Network's Generator Rex and that Rescue Heroes cartoon from circa 2000 had character designs that were inspired by the DCAU. As for fan-made art works:
Justice League 3000
characters from The Simpsons (Edna Krabappel, Bart, Lisa)

I'm not sure that these fan arts are in the style of Bruce Timm. You can see that he knew his anatomy inside out like most top comic, animators etc. Artists like him learn their craft first before getting a 'style'. That's what makes them awesome, although I do understand he didn't do life drawing, which is unusual.
