Sure, you can have multiple interests and still be considered to be "on the spectrum...." For instance, my special interests at the moment are stuffed animals and plushies, the Cars and Planes movies, and Chicken Run (which I suppose falls into a broader special interest category of "animation," which is definitely a special interest of mine - always has been :)) I think what people consider to be "on the spectrum" re: our special interests is the fact that we can be almost completely immersed in them, clinging to them as if they are a refuge of sorts (and mine are, to me) and that they're somewhat unusual in people in our respective peer group(s). Like, I don't meet that many other folks my age (20s) IRL who are super into animated movies and cartoons, and plushies like me (except here on WP, of course :D).
