I love The South!

For starters the topic of homosexuality is considered bad by many southerns. Granted not all of them, but a good majority still consider it immoral. When asked why most will say because it infringes on the sanctity of marriage, and the bible says it is wrong.

Yep, that's totally true!! I don't have a problem with it because there's several gay people in my family. Almost all of my gay relatives are in the South, and I have a sister who's a "holy-roller" (also in the South), but she hasn't said anything about my other sister's son..... YET!!

Not to mention Public health is worse in the South than the North. Obesity is a big problem * no pun intended * Which once again the South leads the nation in obesity.

It's all that friggin' fried food----and biscuits, cornbread, and PIES!! ! LOL I don't even like biscuits, cornbread, and pies----and I almost never eat fried food cuz I know how bad it is, for ya----and one of my sisters thinks I'm NUTS!! ! She told me I must relinquish my "Hillbilly Identification Card", at ONCE!! ! LOL j/k

Sure the south has friendly people, but there are a lot of problems behind it.

Yep, we're SUPER friendly----we'll talk your leg, off----but, we'll fix ya a mighty fine meal!! ! Come on down and set a spell!! ! We'd love t'have ya!! !

Ehh.... The south is ok, I would prefer to live on the west or east coast instead of the south.

Your post OP reminds me of the old proverb. The grass is always greener on the other side. Don't get me wrong southern people do tend to start friendly conversations when passing by other strangers more often. Something Northerners aren't know for doing a whole lot, but living in the south isn't ideal. For starters the topic of homosexuality is considered bad by many southerns. Which in hindsight is hilarious because the south has the highest rate of divorce in the country.

I mean the South of the United States. I like the South a lot better than the North. I have nothing against Northerners. The North, though to me just seems so depressing. The Large Northeastern cities are so dreary . People just aren't warm and friendly up North like they are in the South. I love the music,, food, and culture of Dixie. Its so inspiring. And the South has this vibe to it that is more intriguing- an aesthetic that I really love. When I hear a fellow Southerner talk also it feels like home to me. Its just that friendly way. I love the landscapes too. Its odd that people have this perception about the South as negative. To me, its definitely the nicer part of the country.


BTW, the South is the 11 former states of the Confederacy. No to KY, Missouri, MD, West VA, OKlahoma,- those are border states.
