Well its that time of year where my negative flashbacks are starting to occur more often followed by night terrors interfering with my sleep! For those who dont know I was in an abusive relationship in the past and was mentally sexually and at some times physically abused to the point I attempted suicide! I feel worthless useless and feel I have no reason of existing during this time of year I get many flashbacks of abusive incidents and I just had my first flashback this season as of last night! I may have PTSD and I am sure of it!

What happened to you is awful, its no wonder that you have residual effects. This time of year had an almost exact same impact on me for a long time, I didn?t know how to deal with it, but it did stop eventually. Was it long ago (if you don't mind me asking)?

Sorry to hear you got taken advantage of. Hope that person rots in hell and you can rebuild your life again. I know it doesn't just go away (the bad thoughts that reside in your mind from the trauma), but I hope that person got justice served to him / her.

Flashbacks get better when you feel safe, not when you focus on what was done that's wrong. When I have flashbacks I do whatever I can to stay away from negative behavior from others and encourage people to behave kindly. It's not much but it helps some when I can do it.

I hope you are able to feel better soon.

I will in due time but in the mean time it sucks but I am making some progress somewhat Im learning to fight my past by telling myself and reminding myself its the past and that she cant bother me no more or torment me and that thinking im worthless is stupid and remind myself I am on my own once again and I have my life back somewhat and to and focus on the now. Its a struggle and a fight for sure but im slowly starting to gain the upper hand.
