My dreams are killing me again.

Every time I wake up, I remember the dream I had, and it hurts me.
I'm tired of dreaming, every time I fall asleep my brain shows me a movie to make me feel horrible when I wake up. No matter if it's it's "bullshit" or "a deep realisation".
Yesterday I dreamed about having a daughter needing a heart transplant and buying one from a guy who wanted to commit suicide but being too late at the hospital with the backpack I had it in (yes don't ask) because I encountered all kinds of problems on the way.
Today I went to bed at 8PM and just woke up at 11:30PM after dreaming about fighting with my best friend's friend about who my best friend likes better.
Are there any ways to stop dreaming..? Sometimes I have several dreams in a night, each beating me down to a pulp in a different way.
I'm serious that one of these days I'll wake up and... don't want to fall asleep -ever- again.

Constant nightmares or just dreams that are unnerving are usually symptoms of some kind of anxiety disorder. There are probably somethings to do to not increase the dreaming (like for my Zzzquil which I need to sleep usually causes crazy dreams so I should not take it as often as I do), but to stop dreaming, I'm not so sure. The better thing would be to find out whats going on to cause your anxiety and find ways to fix it, though that is very much easier said than done. I haven't found a way to rid my anxiety, but I do visit a counselor who does help keep me sane in this world of neurotypicals a little bit. If you can do it, it probably wouldn't hurt to go get evaluated for some kind of anxiety disorder or anything else that could cause it. In fact, I'd strongly recommend it.

I was thinking the same thing. Rather than seeking medication to stop dreaming, find out what it is that is causing acute anxieties during the day that is causing the brain to go into a deep dream state.

To dream that you have a heart transplant or heart surgery indicates a huge change in your personal relationship. Perhaps you are involved in a rebound relationship
To see your daughter in your dream represents your waking relationship with your daughter and the qualities that she projects. If you do not have a daughter, then it symbolizes the feminine aspect within yourself
To see or carry a backpack in your dream represents the decisions and responsibilities that are weighing your down
To see someone commit suicide in you dream highlights your concerns for that person. Consider what characteristics and qualities in that person you may be trying to "kill" and annihilate in your own self. Perhaps you hope that you are not like this person and are making attempts to get rid of those traits within your own self.

I find studying my dreams very helpful to me. There is just too much in the world for me to understand. It may be you trying to help you. I hope this helps.
The only way I have found is to not sleep, but obviously that is not a very practical solution as humans need sleep so eventually you'll sleep anyways even if you can stay up for a night or more. Much of the time I stay up like all night and still try to get up somewhat early in the morning before I have time to dream too much...that also is not very practical and eventually I end up sleeping for a lot longer than usual for a few days, so thus long enough to have very vivid dreams.
I tried some medication for it, can't remember what it was called and it didn't do anything to help, but perhaps there is something that would be helpful for that, not really sure though.

If you really hate your dreams that much, and cannot make any good of them, the best thing you can do is wear yourself out. Think of your life as energy. The more you have, the stronger your dreams. People that do not dream usually have a lifestyle that soaks up all their energy in the daily world. Hard work, job burnout, a bunch of kids, never ending amounts of practices, a ton of things on your mind to weigh you down, poor diet, etc. The deeper the sleep, the less you dream. Some wake up still tired like they never slept. Been there done that. Sometimes it is good to do and perfectly healthy. A lucid dream is a very light sleep, and usually happens to me when I have a resreve of energy. I pritty much know if I am going to have one before I go to bed. And of course, I know when I'm going to sleep like a rock just the same.
