I was watching an australian movie today, called Somersault, and I got a big shock - they actually had a minor character (a boy about 9) who had Asperger's, they actually used the word! 'He has Asperger's. 'I've never heard it spoken in a film before, and they then went on to describe some basic problems with the condition. Interesting.

They never say it outright but Marcus from About A Boy definitely has AS.

Concerning About a boy, what makes you say that ? I have not seen the movie.

I guess you can say Batman might have Aspergers. He's pretty obsessed with crime fighting. :D

A whole bunch of stuff... People are always thinking he's joking when he's not, he can't detect sarcasm, he's painfully honest, antisocial, and just odd in general. The book makes it a lot clearer than the movie does and is quite funny. I'd recommend it.

Then you have cole from the
6th Sense with Bruce Willis.
If he is not aspie gifted(in a
exagerated way, but similar
traits) I would say Jim Carrey.
Hmmm?

sincerely,

Jim Carey! Big fan here. I've never met him before, so I don't know if he could have AS. But, you never know! :P

There's the main character in "Napolean Dynamite". Watching that movie, I was struck by just how Aspie-ish he acted. Almost creepy.

He seems close to having Asperger's but as Bruce Wayne he is pretty good at charming women.

I had a thought this morning. Could Sgt. Friday from Dragnet be considered to be an aspie?

Bruce Wayne is rich. You think Bill Gates has women trouble?

Because he is rich and odd, he's excentric rather than wierd.

Ive seen Bruce Wayne in both the movies and the comic books and he is very good at talking to women but being rich certainly helps to. People think that Howard Hughes is autistic too but if you watch him in the Aviator you will see that he is very good at speaking to women.

Actually, there is an interesting compendium of motion picture (not to mention television and comic book,) characters - and even real life people - with ASD traits located at http://www.geocities.com/WestHollywood/Stonewall/4502/famousac.html.
