I don't really need to this year as I kept my Xmas decorations up in my living room all year, lol.
I just could not be bothered to take all the things off my walls that I stuck up, or the lights down and my tree just sits on the chair in the corner because I have nowhere to store it really. I love shiny things and Christmas things in general anyway. I will be helping my mother decorate her flat this weekend as she struggles with it a bit now.
I am not really 'feeling' Christmas yet, I may not at all as I am quite depressed I think.

minimally. will display holiday cards i receive and put out a few small decorations. our cat would love a tree, but we're not getting him one to knock over. mostly just don't want to bother.

No need to put up the whole rigormarole. Just do what you feel like doing. Under any conditions I can pretty much skip the lights and plastic decorations, but do like the natural ones. Things like a tree, wreath or poinsettia. Those are nice accents in any account in a seasonal way.

No, I have never, since childhood celebrated this season. It has never been about belief. I just cannot relate to any of this. It means nothing to me. Quite possibly I will check myself into the nuthouse the week of, and ride it out there. I wish I could avoid the last two months of every year.

Nope. We don't celebrate anything here; no christmas, not even birthdays. Suppose New years eve is more a formality than it is something to celebrate as well here.

It's enough that I have to deal with shopping madness and the fact that most stores are closed for a few days in a row, so I have to plan my groceries accordingly... that gets on my nerves enough, let alone putting up decorations for something I don't even support.

When I read the tile and poll as "Are you decorating", over here decorating means painting and hanging wallpaper, DIY, so I voted yes as I just fitted a new kitchen.

Lol

I'm afraid putting mine up will upset me and emphasize my aloneness.

That sounds like a good plan!

I'm feeling a general malaise about the whole thing. The crowds are already starting at the stores. People are getting stressed. All for what? A celebration of commerce it seems sometimes.

Winter flowering plants have some of the most lovely flowers. I always liked the Christmas cactus.

No a bad plan!

I never celebrate New Year's. It's just a big drunk fest.

Oh, that's for sure, just because a lot of pubs have something "good" going on for once. Plenty actually end up having these parties where one pays X amount to get in and drinks might be free. So yeah, drunkfest it is.

The formality I'm talking about is that whenever I have to put a signature and a date on there is that I have to put 2015 on there. It's same as my birthday; I stopped counting my age in a sense. If someone asks me "how old are you?" chances are I'll tell them when I was born and let them do the math, because I don't care much about that formality either I suppose. It's probably more that kind of formality with dates and years that's needed to some extent. For me personally, there's little benefit of keeping track of years anymore. I mean; I'm sometimes completely lost on what day it is already and have to check my phone so I don't end up at a closed storefront on sunday afternoon :')

The changing of the calender year has always seemed an odd thing to celebrate. It's just a calender!

my family likely will make me help decorate.

I use to love holidays, but last 3 years has been just more and more hopeless. I've lost my joy in life.
