I Walked With A Zombie.

1940s film about a young nurse sent to care for a wealthy landowner's near comatose wife, only to find that her malady had arisen from the wife's adulterous relationship with her brother-in-law, and the reaction it had brought about from the Voodoo cult ever present among the local people in the background. While I thought the character development was weak, it more than made up for this flaw in eerie atmosphere. The Afro-Carribean locals are portrayed with a degree of respect that is suprisng, considering the time in which this movie was made.
