I currently have 50. I used to have more, but I think some of them have unfriended me since I seem to lack the typical level of user activity (one or two post per year).

I have 297. Most are acquaintances of personal friends and family that I've met from playing in bands for the past few years.

238 or somesuch, most from when I played games on there, and just a few from a local meetup group. I only have about 20-25 who actually like and respond to my things there though.

I have a couple of hundred. Some of them are "friends" of my friends, rather than people I actually know.

I'm hardly ever on Facebook. At one time, I used it to try to get in contact with people I used to know in school. I'm glad I "found" some people--but I'm not close to any of them.

Just 200+ in the 'friends' list. I just know most of them (Either online of IRL, but mostly just not-strangers and just acquaintances) and I never add strangers, but I end up adding duplicates sometimes.

Only about 70ish. I never use it though, except to get in touch with old friends/family whose numbers I lost.

Reading the other posts, im even less social than I thought.

Then again though, several of my good friends don't even use FB.

When I was on Facebook, I had about 5 or 6, but I'm not on Facebook any more.

Somewhere between 20 and 50. But I don't like Facebook and I only use it as a last resort for communicating. And I barely know a lot of those Facebook friends.....you know how it is, somebody sends you a friend request, it seems mean not to accept it.

One.
Opened an FB account a while ago to get back in touch with someone whose contact details I lost. Got his number and haven't logged on since.

The whole social-network culture seems very alien and quite offputting to me. Virtual friends that you don't actually know at all, and the whole "like" thing - urgh. Even worse on LinkedIn - people I haven't seen in years endorsing some new skill that I just acquired recently, a skill they've never seen me use, obviously in the hope of getting some equally meaningless BS endorsement in return - eeeuuuurgghhh.

I much prefer forums (fora?). Been waiting for FB to die already, so people will stop bugging me to get with the program. Looks like it's not happening anytime soon though. Quite the contrary. Looks like I'll have to eventually figure out some way to be on FB to get what I want out of it, while remaining true to myself.

I have slightly over a hundred. I can't stand to chat or play candy crush saga or whatever. Although most of my facebook friends are either aspies or mothers of autistic children.

I find it so much easier to have followers on twitter. You just follow some people, and a percentage of them wil follow you back. Works for me every time.

I have a little over a hundred, but many of them I have never met. Actually, about half of them.

About 400, but they are mostly people who play games that need friends and neighbors to play.

i don't have FB.

quit it over a year ago. back when i did i had a maximum of 325 or something or other..i spent 3 years on it and my friends lift increased, and when i've been on it for 2 years it just plateau'd and never increased.

i had met many of them once or twice, saw them around or were relatives of closer friends. i was careful to purge any complete strangers when i ever got around to it.

i never played any of the games. i can't imagine what it must be like to have 1000+ people sharing their lives on one page, i followed character pages mostly and allowed those.

i left because of crowncaen. i prefer message boards now, such as this one.

I thought I had just over 200, but it's actually 270...

Less than 200 and it nags you to get more. Culling people who you don't want seeing everything you post, as I have in the past, causes difficulties if they come into your life again.
