to be affected by Asperger the way I am, mild sensory issues, but unable to keep any kind of relationship, no romantic ones and no friendship, and barely able to communicate with my immediate family, or

horrible sensory issues, but having the ability to be around people and keep relationships. I'm not talking about inability to know what others are feeling/thinking, knowing what to say and do in social situations, etc. I'm talking about being able to be around people without feeling drained emotionally.

I have both - sensory issues and emotional drain during socialization. If I could be rid of one of them it would be sensory issues- the triggers are harder to avoid.

Right now, I'm the second paragraph minus the last sentence. Learning social skills is possible, getting rid of sensory issues isn't. I'd rather have the social issues.

I'd rather have the social issues than the sensory ones.
