I personally feel that I would most likely want to die alone rather than to have loved ones around me trying to give me comfort. I have never wanted an audience in my life, not even my family, so I think that even if I'm on my death bed, I would want to look at and face death for myself and by myself, exactly the way I had to faced life.

What about you?

This is just me personally, but I think I would rather have my loved ones around me when I died, reassuring me that I was loved. I'm actually afraid of having no loved ones left if my family died before me, since I'm not sure I have the personality to marry someone.

On my girlfriend around. I never had a close relationship with anyone in my family.

Spent all my life alone, may as well die alone.

Rather morbid question, I don't really know.

Every living creature on earth dies alone.

I most definitely want to die alone.

Maybe. I don't like to be crowded or pampered when I'm sick, but dying is very different. I can see how it would be personal, though.

I'd rather die alone than in a nursing home surrounded by overworked and underpaid care workers. My Mom will be gone before me and I have no other family, so I'm thinking of a long walk into the woods.

I'd ideally prefer to die alone and unknown... I'd rather not be anyone's source of grief in departure.

Nah, I'm hoping for some major catastrophe that takes out the entire world. I want to die along with every other inhabitant of Planet Earth. :skull: (I always wanted to use that skull icon!)

I don't know. I always imagined going peacefully in my sleep. Just go to bed one night and not wake up again. I like to sleep alone, so alone I guess.

I don't really understand the idea of not wanting to "die alone". For those who believe in the afterlife, it's fine (unless you believe you'll end up in Hell. Oh well). For those who believe they'll disappear completely, it's fine.
