Before you bid on something online, check your cellar if you already have such a thing stowed away in a box somewhere.

beware of buying speakers online in multiple shipments, all too easy for one of the pair to be mislaid somewhere in the mail chain.

In Japan, tattoos are still considered very taboo. In fact, they have signs banning tattooed people in places where a lot of skin is shown, like public baths and swimming pools. 8O

In the original Smurfs comics, Brainy Smurf would get hit on the head with a hammer whenever he talked too much. But the HB cartoon would have him get thrown out of the village, which North American people are more familiar with. Clearly hitting a character on the head with a hammer was considered too violent for an 80's kid's cartoon but not physically throwing him several feet or so from their village.

And he nearly always landed on his head. :brilsmurf:

That there certain types of mushrooms that are considered edible but make people violently sick when consumed with alcohol. They are similar to the drugs that are sometimes given to chronic alcoholics to make them stop drinking.
