To lose weight, cut calories. But to improve health AND lose weight, cut out red meat, dairy, carbs, sugars. (you can have anything on rare occasions). Also, to keep your metabolism healthy, exercise daily. I keep my weight around 130, if it goes up, I just cut back portions/snacking. And, eliminate evening snacks and all junk food. Best, Alice
