Why has Google avoided to put an Easter Doodle for several years?
Does it offend them or something?

Maybe because different churches use different dates for easter. Or maybe they don't have religious holidays at all?

Personally I wish Google had an Ishtar doodle. That would be more contextually relevant.

Not to sound like Bill O'Reilly and the Fox crowd, but I suspect it's because Google doesn't want to offend Non-Christians.
And on that point, I doubt many would actually be offended.

I suspect they don't want to offend Christians, as Easter is a commercial holiday too.

Anyway it doesn't matter they are free to put the content they like.

They try to avoid directly referencing religious iconography which is difficult with Easter, and easier with Holi.

They have no problem with using Santa with Christmas; they could have used Easter eggs or the Easter Bunny.

And just what symbol should Google use?

A crucified zombie bunny eating a matzoh?

I would laugh my ass off at that. Unfortunately, others don't share my appreciation for humor - and their the NT's!

I would have thought that He would use "Power Word: Smite", instead.
