Hey there!
I have some pretty severe struggles with fatigue. I'm in relatively good shape (not going to the Olympics anytime soon, but I have quite the muscle from horseback riding), but even just going to the store can leave me tired, achy, and sometimes out of breath.

It's getting in my way a lot, because I have to stop whatever I'm doing. I get tired everywhere. In the shower, gardening, getting up to get a glass of water.
It should be noted that I do have suspected cerebral palsy, so it could be a part of it.
My doctor is also noticing some signs of a hormonal dysfunction.
I also seem to have cuts that won't heal over, and yellow (jaundiced) soles of my feet.
Does anybody have any idea what it is, or how to help it?
Ask any question, I just want this to get fixed

Thanks! :)

I was about to say this sounds really familiar but the physical symptoms you mentioned are worrying. Maybe you should go see a doc about this just to be on the safe side, and it could be a deficiency that's easily fixed you never know.

Because there are so many possible reasons for fatigue symptoms, something I'm looking into is checking genetic markers (SNPs) for clues.

An app at http://mthfrsupport.com/ can compare 23andme DNA test results (https://www.23andme.com/) to determine what genetic components may be factors.

Is there anything you've ruled out?

Have you taken a routine blood test yet? There are some things that might be causing your fatigue that might be ruled out with a simple blood test, such as hormonal imbalances and blood glucose levels.

I'm surprised by all the replies!! Unfortunately, my Dr is extremely over-booked. It takes 5 months to get an appointment.
Also there's the fact that I'm a teen, and my mum is the suck-it-up-buttercup type. Unless my bone is visibly showing or I'm puking up blood, I'm not going to the doctor anytime soon.
Next time I am scheduled for an appointments though, I'll be sure to bring it up with my Dr.

Ack, the realm of vague conditions that cause fatigue. I know it well...

I hope they figure it out or at least maybe that it goes away on it's own. In my case dysautonomia was a large part of it, but it took forever to find that out. It's considered rare (1 in 200,000) so it's probably not the best place to start, though.

Sometimes autistic people have hypermobility, which basically means the joints are loose because the connective tissue is extra-stretchable. And, it also means their blood vessels are extra-stretchable which can cause symptoms of dysautonomia (sort of low blood pressure and/or racing heart among other things).

Ack, indeed. I'm guessing that if your doctor commented about hormone dysfunction that he's also checked the more obvious like glucose levels. Being tired getting a glass of water - is your mom just thinking you're lazy? Are any of these relevant?: http://tinyurl.com/ksa43fu

I'm from a suck-it-up family, too. They dismissed my symptoms, and now 30 years later I'm still trying to find out what is causing them. I'm finding out that the "cope and hope" strategy I used for so long is ill-advised because even if not puking blood, you can have something serious going on:

Failure to Thrive: http://tinyurl.com/mg3q5lh
Quotes about CFS: http://thoughtsaboutme.com/quotes/
CFS Memorial list: http://www.ncf-net.org/memorial.htm

Would your mom be open to consulting with someone possibly see if someone may be able to point you in some directions until you can see your doctor? One recommended to me was: http://www.darcynat.com/about-us/what-we-treat. Or something like http://www.testyourintolerance.com/ to see if it may be food related?

Wounds, that won´t heal, yellowing foot soles? Have you had your circulation checked?

Thanks for all the help!
I do recall from my last doctors visit that my blood pressure was abnormally low (I'm slightly overweight, so apparently that's not supposed to be happening) but my heart rate was apparently fast? That might have something to do with how panicked I was though.
I do have a lactose intolerance, but at the worst, it's just a really upset stomach 8O
About the wound, I got a scrape about 4 weeks ago, and it's just closing up, but not scabbing. It looks like snakeskin :?
As a said before, this could be some weird cerebral palsy thing??
I honestly have no idea

^ Low blood pressure and a fast heart rate is actually characteristic of dysautonomia, though that's not enough to be sure. Maybe put it on your list of things to mention to your doctor. And good luck with it all!

Thanks for all the help!! I'm not scheduled for another appointment until summer, and even then, it's just done by his assistant, my dr won't actually be there.
Does anybody know of any way that I could tell the dr about my symptoms without sounding like a hypochondriac or attention-seeker??
