Been there, done all that mushy stuff at least 40 years ago. I have more things trying to eat my brains than you could shake a stick at.

Thanks for sharing a little history of the Oldavid. Interesingly, I too, experience a drought in desert of HOLY SPIRIT IN Creation Activity for 40 years, as well, from ages 13 to 53. Living in a world of mechanical cognition, am I then; and as mentioned before here, compared by others to a mind that works as a computer, rather than frigging FULL human being.

BUT the source of that desert, is a patriarchal fundamentalist Christian culture, where I live in the New Jerusalem in the U.S. OF FREEDOM for all of God's melting pot children. IN New Jerusalem aka Milton; fundamentalist extremist ways of oh NO! boys who smile and laugh are gay; and oh NO! anything graceful in art a boy does is gay; and a general scare of anything other than polar opposite gender roles will be the end of the human RACE.

So yeah, while I'm doing an excited and spirited rendition of the Holy Spirit CreatION Activity of playing the GREAT SONG 'JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR'; THAT NOW, AND then,

And THEN, in the halls of middle school, AS I smile brightly with a smile of GOD's gift of Unconditional Love grown strong by the same Love of an ALL LOVING AND NURTURING MOTHER the boys tell me in no uncertain terms, if I do that I am the F word and not FRED and I will never deserve to live on this planet with UNCONDITIONAL LOVE OF GOD EXPRESSED IN SPIRIT.

WELL NO; those boys certainly are not poets; but hate is easy to see, as promulgated by Fundamentalist Christian patriarchal moms and dads; who tell their boys to pull up their boot straps; and repress all those GOD given emotions

AND other ways of INNATE divine human grace Living AS Unconditional LOVE;

Career; until finally the chronic social stress of not BEING A FREE CHILD OF GOD

RESULT OF, in 2008, is close to 40 days of human hell without sleep, and all the 19
medical disorders I have detailed here time and time again; included the worst pain
known to mankind; type two trigeminal neuralgia, like a dentist drill without novocaine;
but in my case, in eye and ear, making effective use of hearing and seeing almost impossible
without intolerable pain for 5 long years; yes, a pain described in medical literature as worse than
Crucifixion becomes minE from wake to sleep; not for several hours of even three days; 5 long years
is my blessings from life and the GOD of dark and light; to learn all about human misery, suffering, and
attempt to teach the rest of the sheep a way to avoid literal human hell in real life for NOW. So yeah, there
are 40 years of 'desert' of wandering the mechanical cognition of "Moses" for me; 40 days in the desert of
"Jesus"; only 1 hour of extremely shallow sleep aided by a powerful alpha blocker for the first of 35 of 40 days,
until no sleep with any aid the last 5 of 40, when the 'angels' and 'demons' of GOD fight within me to tempt me to
END ALL THEN, AND JUST GIVE THE WILL OF SURVIVAL UP; NO DIFFERENT REALLY THAN THE STORY OF JOB DURING
SHUT-IN, 'HUNCH BACK OF NOTRE DAME', IN A BEDROOM FOR 5 LONG YEARS; WITH ALL EMOTION, INCLUDING FAITH,
HOPE, BELIEF, AND RELATIVE HUMAN FREE WILL, AND FRIENDS, GONE FOR ME; WITH NO HUMAN CONNECTION PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE WITH IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS; SO I TURN TO WRITING TO ESCAPE A PAIN; THAT NO HUMAN DRUG WILL TOUCH. AND that starts on Thanksgiving day, 2010; and I add a bright eyed baby picture of me when I still have a human soul, heart, and spirit in bright eyes expressed, on Christmas Day, as avatar in 2010; as a goal to become AGAIN then; when each word typed is excruciating eye pain; even with the screen turned all the way down in brightness, with my nose upon it; as prescription glasses clear or tinted with the focus and nerve associated issues; turn up the pain like any torture chamber can.

God gifts me again, with the Holy Spirit Creative flow precisely five years from the beginning of my 40 day lent sojourn to hell of no sleep, in 2008, 60 months later in March of 2013; all still documented here for purview in realtime then, as well
as my blogs starting in March of 2013.

So yeah, I could go the round of our friend 'Edward Palamar' here; I guess and start applying biblical significance
with all these 40's, fives, Jobs, Deserts, Lent, and all of that; but no; I know better to fall in that devil's trap of
thinking, truly thinking, I am any one any more special; than anyone else on GOD's green and Blue
earth of Nature; who has simply met the challenge of life and come out on the other side born
again, in the metaphor of creative holy spirit alive again; and particularly for me now;
in fearless mind and body balance of relative human free will as co-creator with
GOD; same as all the other folks who are born again with the eyes of the
curious and ever playful child who plays with GOD with eyes, souls,
hearts, and expressed spirit of the FORCE OF GOD LIKE THIS

And of note; the last evidentiary link clearly indicates that when the work of life, overall, is reproducing for survival,
even in primitive tribes with no fundamentalist Abrahamic religions to boot; there are not even any words for

I think the answer has to go beyond chemical reactions. A real issue is when does a fetus become a living being. I wouldn't know, but having seen some scans probably long before birth.

You show a perspicacity and honesty that seems to have been hunted out of this forum. Consider; a live sperm cannot fertilise a dead egg, or vice-versa. Life is a product of life and a zygote is alive right from the start or it, dead chemicals degrade into simpler dead chemicals. Only a live sperm and a live egg can make a live zygote.
