I suppose it depends on how you define infallibility.

IMO, infallibility is moral. The Arabic word, maʿṣūm, is infallible (alternately, impeccable or inviolable). In an Islamic context, maʿṣūm can refer to an individual who does not sin (Arabic, ẖaṭaꞌ).

A similar view of infallibility is used by the Roman Catholic Church. The Pope is considered to be morally infallible when he speaks ex cathedrā (Latin, literally, from the chair). However, speaking ex cathedrā is very rare. Neither Pope Benedict nor Pope Francis have chosen to issue this type of edict.

No such thing, but I find rationalism to be fairly useful.

The ideology of Ingsoc, in 1984. Everyone agreed with it, dissenters never existed, there were no martyrs against it; everyone loved the Party.

I think abandoning ideologies and realizing everything is infallible and that no one has the "right way," that no one way works for everyone or everything, helps.
Which is, technically, an ideology all on its own.

Honestly I have yet to find one, every single one has its blemishes the closest I have come is left leaning Anarchism but goods some people spout some crap that make them almost bad as they people they're complaining about.
For me the worst Ideologies are any form of religious extremism,Capitalism, all right wing ideologies, and anything remotely Ayn Rand.

Ayn Rand - ugh :eew: I hope she is now happy (in Hell?) with her money. It didn't save her from the Grim Reaper.

The late publisher Bennett Cerf, a life-long progressive, tells some interesting stories about Ayn Rand. Although Cerf, in his autobiography, strongly disagreed with Rand's objectivism, he said that he understood her, as a person, and how she came to adopt her views. The two of them became close friends.
