Do hamsters exist?

Although there may be supposed video clips, pictures, writings, and even people who have claimed to have seen hamsters in person, can you prove here that hamsters are real?

Not only do hamsters exist...they created Man in their image!

But without the buck teeth.

Not here, no. I can't pass you a hamster over the internet. But you can easily go find one for yourself.

So those little fuzzballs I've seen sleeping in the day, stuffing their cheeks, and racing on wheels in pet stores and kid's classrooms, and even once owned myself, aren't real? :)

Either those were hamsters that my daughter and I saw at the pet store yesterday, or they were impostors.

Bertrand Russell was well known for his argument that this table is not a table. Perhaps he could have proved that this hamster is not a hamster.

All that exists are sensory impressions of hamsters. Not hamsters themselves. The feel of their coats, the cute look of their general shape, and they don't even make much sound except for the metallic rattle of their excercise wheels spinning. So I am a hamster solipsist myself!

I'll leave solipsism to the clever guys. I never could get a grip on Berkley et al. However, isn't the OP's point that some atheists ask for proof that God exists, yet there are many things which euually so cannot be proven by logic.

Obviously that's his point. But to 'deny the existence of hamsters' you would HAVE to be a solipsist (a person who denies the existence of EVERYTHING except of themselves) because hamsters are tangible common critters. In contrast even theists call belief in God "faith" because they all freely admit to God's "elusiveness".

So how about The Dark Side Of The Moon. Common sense says it exists as no doubt would the math prove it so. I am not a solipsist. Yet it does seem to me that all the present possibity was in that Big Bang, if that is what happened. I am thinking that the discrete nature of atomic structure right down to Plank Length gives us that. Molecules can only be formed in certain ways.

Oh the simplicity of the geratric mind is a wonderful thing.

GOD IS A HAMSTER.. but first more on tables and PC vs. iMAC computing..;)

Ah.. a table for me.. is a favorite metaphor for the human spiRit expressed as heArt of SoUl.

I 'tale' my wife.. dear you do FEEL that table over there is not just a piece of dead carved put
together pieces of wood.. THAT so-called table.. is a SOUL expression of John what's his name..
who creates it with hands of heArt.. expressing SpiRit of SoUl with CARVING Tools.. in Garage..
extending human eyes of feeling life in all of
ART of life that can be expressed as
Human Spirit in ornate
curves and squares
of table as
Soul of
HUMAN BEING..:)

And people also forget what 'Love'
is put into the development of an iMac..
iPhone.. iPad.. by human artists
expressing spirit
of human
heart
of soul...

Yes.. Bill Gates is more or less
a heArt-less Nerd soUl SpiRit
'BACK WHEN'..
in expression of
complex machines
without that fuller
flair of human
Artists
with brush so
full of more than CODE..
BUT Steve Jobs is brilliant GEEK..
who brings HeArt to Machines of Steel
and Silicone brains.. by hiring Artists who can
Paint computing as well as engineering CODE well..:)

I suppose for some folks who torture Hamsters;
'they' do NOT exist; but for folks who LOVE
Hamsters and CAN FEEL them
with affective empathy
in emotional
contagion; Hamsters
most definitely do exist;
And truly it's the same for GOD;
Those who feel GOD;
FEEL WHAT GOD IS;
FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT;
HAMSTERS and or GOD
DO
NOT
EXIST...:)

God is NOT a Word;
and neither
are
Hamsters; with
smiles
or Not..;)

Biggest mistake of ALL;
modern religions and culture;
naming GOD
a three letter
word as
Idol instead
of FEELING REAL..:)

I FEEL THE REAL
GOD OF ALL THAT
IS AS NATURE;
ALWAYS NOW;
THEREFORE
GOD EXISTS
FOR ME; IF NOT
FOR ANYONE
ELSE, in words
alone, FOR
NOW;
or sensing
no feeling
in tables
and hamsters ALIVE;
as SOUL EXPRESSING
HEART SPIRIT NOW..:)
Excluding any part
of ALLTHATIS
IS EXCLUDING
ALL THAT IS;
SO YES;

A Table
IS GOD
TOO;
AND SO IS
my Lovely
27" ALLINONE
iMAC; so yeah;
all that extra care
IS WORTH THE EFFORT..:)

PC'S ARE KINDA LIKE THE
DEVIL; RARELY
CONTENT AS
IS; without
complaints
of failing
software
in
mind
of hardware;
but never the less;
the DEVIL IS PaRT
of GOD
too..:)

And yes;
pArts of
GOD do
ST*LL
s88K..;)

How can you question the existence of Boo the giant miniature space hamster!? He find your lack of faith disturbing.

Yes, by using aforementioned pictures, video clips, and peer-reviewed testimonies. Alternatively, visit a local pet shop. There is plenty of empirical evidence indicating the indisputable existence of hamsters.

Next.

I'm not of a philosophical bent--but I do know that hamsters exist--though they might not be "hamsters" in non-English-speaking places, they are the rodents who kids frequently keep as pets, and have virtually identical DNA to each other.

We have sent zillions of space probes to photograph the far side of the Moon.

But you're right that prior to the space programs of the mid 20th Century there was no direct way of knowing whether the moon really had a backside or not. It was kinda extrapolated from what was then known that the moon must have a spherical backside. Both atheists and theist claim that their respective beliefs (God existing, or not existing) is in that category of indirect BUT GOSH DARN IT HAS TO BE THAT WAY kinda extrapolated evidence. Niether camp can claim that either the existence, or the non existence of God, is as tangibly proven as is the existence of hamsters.
