There are some other general threads about Anime but it looked like most of them were pretty old.
So I decided to make this thread to find people with similar interests to me.

My favorite Anime of all time is FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
some of my other favorites include:
Dragon Ball Z
Death Note
Gurren Laggan
Fruits Basket
Ouran High School Host Club
School Rumble
Welcome to the NHK
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo

I have seen quite a lot, but favourites tend to be what I have rated highest, or stay with me.

Kanon (2006) – This was the first of a genre for me with such romance, and such with an excellent blend of comedy and tragedy, I stand by in saying that I cried and am very happy for it.

Clannad After Story – I might include the first season of this also, but the second is why I will include it connection to the above. It everything in Kanon, but taken much further that it can kind of leave a scar at one point, maybe even depression, but also very funny.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya – Artistic, this show along with the ones I already mentioned above is done by the animation company, Kyoto Animation, and I think this was their real masterpiece. There are multiple ways to watch this show, an original broadcast order, and a chronological order, but I think the original adds a great level of mystery that fills in holes as it goes along, putting the climax that explains a lot at the end rather than the middle. Episode 0 is certainly noticeable for the characters making a purposely bad movie which actually has a lot of depth in it. The second season has some issues, but the movie is absolutely phenomenal.

Kokoro Connect – Absolutely surpassed expectations where it does a great job at breaking the cast of characters apart so we can see what they are made of.

Madoka Magica – The magical girl anime that took everyone by storm, it is deceptive in how it may appear at first, what looks like a childish tale of cliché elements becomes something much deeper. Redefined what magical girl anime could be referred to as.

Black Rock Shooter (TV) – A fusion of psychological elements that draw me in, and what I consider amazing CG action scenes, it is not very long, but I think it hits very hard.

Barakamon – Something that I could make me laugh so much I could cry. An incredibly fun anime about an adult man and the friendship he makes with a young girl on a small island, and with the various other people. It is really something special that alone in comedy I have to award it better compared to others I also love with comedy, and there are actually some rather interesting subject matter.

I haven't seen much anime, but I loved GTO and Ranma-one-half, and Death Note had me gripped. I'd like to see more bizzare/offbeat humor ones like Ranma.

In my area, it hasn't caught on much, most around my parts still call it Japanimation. However one character did catch my eye because he's almost always seen with a pacifier in his mouth much like myself. I think they call him Konema, but he's supposed to have "J.R." tatooed on his head.

Brad Barakamon is amazing. My top five in order are Gintama, Gj-Bu, Toriko, One Piece, Fairy Tail and honorable mention Seitokai Yakuindomo.

I was strangely into GJ-Bu, I liked the music which had singers who were young and hard roles in the show.

Seitokai Yakuindomo becomes likable as you get into the dirty jokes. There feels like a similar one which has ended up a favourite of this season called Shimoneta.

Watched both FMA and FMA:B, the second one was better. Also Canaan was pretty damn good.

The only ones I ever liked was Samurai Champloo and the Full Metal Alchemist. I tried to get into Attack on Titan, but couldn't make it past the first episode.
