My friend was hanging onto his job at the time "by the skin of his teeth." He was told if he comes into work late again he'd be written up, and it would be his 3rd write-up for the same offense which means he would be fired.

So I thought it would be a hilarious prank to slash the tires on his car so he'd be late! I did it. Oh man, you should have seen the look on his face. We laughed and laughed!

(that didn't happen)

Another site that I'm on is running this gag where a couple of admins are quitting over some decisions. They had me going for a while.

I don't like April fools day because I take some things literally and I tend to flip out if something that upsets me. I just find it stressful. :(

I don't like April Fool's Day either, for the same reason. I don't even understand that kind of humour. How is making someone feel humiliated funny? And if you find upsetting people funny, what kind of person does that make you?

It's just legitimised bullying and picking on people.

I just switch the labelled tins around. So the coffee's labelled 'sugar' and such.

shaving cream in shoes, sewing the tops of the socks so its impossible to get it, drawing of faces while they are sleeping, changeing the times on all the clocks, switching all the pictures in our house to hang upside down... I have some ideas but decided to leave it be today. They'd be expecting it today

I actually played an April Fools joke on another member here, even though she doesn't post here very often.

I told her that two Australian game show hosts are flying to America to replace the American hosts of their respective shows.

You should have seen the AF prank that www.mugglenet.com pulled a few years ago (mugglenet is a harry potter fansite). They shut down their site on March 31st and put a disclaimer in place of the normal link, saying that the site had been 'forced to shut down' by J.K. Rowling and co for 'leaking information' concerning the newest HP book. Well, i try to get on their the next day, hoping against hope that this was a bad dream, and i get the home page with this message in the news column...

HAHA... YOU GOT FOOLED!
Guess which day it is!

Apparently, it's their custom to pull off a HP related prank every April 1st....

Boy, was i pissed...

I faked my own death a week ago, and reappeared on April fools day. And I'm not making this up...

It was actually for a series of photographs I'm doing, but I couldn't resist timing it for April fools.

Ended up making me an admin as the final coup of the joke.

I wonder what Alex's sense of humor must be.
