What genre do you usually read? What do you like about it?

I read fantasy, true crime, scifi, and mystery.

Now tell me...is there anything in particular that you like about any of the genres you read?

For me, I like fantasy because of--DRAGONS!! !

True crime I like because of the shows you see on TV--you know, CSI and things like that.

Sci-Fi because of Star Trek and Spock.

AND...

Mystery because it is fun to solve crimes.

I read horror because horror is fun.

I read mainly non fiction these days, usually on astrology, astronomy, chess...anything that has ever held an interest to me...the issue is, I buy the books, I get a massive backlog, cannot decide what to start on and so don't get round to starting anything.

I also, when I do read fiction, tend to read the Mitch Albom books, as I really find them enlightening regarding human values etc--- for those who don't know, he wrote such as 'Tuesdays with Morrie', 'The Five People You Meet In Heaven', 'One More Day' etc.
Also like Jody Picoult books as they make me think, and fantasy books aimed more for the young adult as I find them more interesting.

I read anything I get throught a lot of sci-fi books when Im in the mood otherwise I've been reading a hell of a lot of books about geo-politics and peak oil.

I've also read almost every book written about remote viewing over the last year.

I read sci-fi because it gives me hope for a future for those crazy humans , books about geo-politics and peak oil because it reinforces my belief they dont have one.

As for remote viewing It just fascinates me , I shall not rest untill I can remote view the results of a forthcoming lottery

I like books about history because I like to think about where we have come from.
I like books on Asperger's because I like to learn about myself and how others deal with similar problems
Fantasy sci-fi because I like to be in a diferant world
Mystery and just about anything where I can learn anything new!
I love knowledge!

Thrillers are almost always my speed since you can engage yourself in the story.

Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, Factual.

I like books about cats because I love cats and love the pictures of the different breeds. I also love people's stories about their pets.

I like books about the Olympic Games because I like reading about running.

I like biographies of people who inspire me, especially Roger Bannister.

Nonfiction, engines and energy generation engineering.

I like to read nonfiction, horror and science fiction.

Mystery, such as The invisible man, Jekyll and Hyde, and heaps of other stuff. Sci- fi, crime myseries, fantasies such as Harry Potter and The time machine, HEAPS of non fiction such as Universe, black holes, comets, stars, the big bang, dark matter, New Scientist, forensics, biology, human biology, mysteries of the world around us, about planet earth, mysteries of the paranormal, unexplained mysteries, religious mysteries etc.

I read romance,horror,dark/light/high fantasy,some mysteries,some sci-fi,and some GLBT fiction.
