“Rites of Spring,” by Stravinsky, to me, is an example of “beautiful dissonance.” What made him become so stiff-shirt in his old age?

Actually, I'm pretty sure, Stravinsky was one of a few composers at the time, who implemented the Twelve-tone method, upon it's conception. I could be wrong, though.

Sorry about the derailment, PBL187.

Brief derail again....sorry.

Britte: Stravinsky only started using the 12-tone method in the 1950s. He was a rather old, dour man by that time.

Berg was a unique sort amongst the 12-tone people. He seemed to be the only one who had a "heart."

Do you have any favorite composers from the Classical period or before, Britte?

For some reason, the sound of the Harpsichord really grabs me. Like Vivaldi's "Four Seasons."

I confess to not knowing very much about classical music---though I do appreciate it very much.
