Hello. I have during the past month been more alone (not lonely) and had time for my special interests, and i now love solving the rubiks cube (2x2, 3x3 and 4x4).
I want to get assessed for aspergers/autism/asd (depends on if the doctor uses the icd10 or dsm5).
I keep telling my mom i want to get assessed, and she says theres no need since i am different but "not that different". But i display many of the symptoms (i am not going to write them here), but not all of them. I have never felt a "true connection" to other people, but ive had friends. How do i convince her to let me get assessed? She also thinks everyone who has aspergers (or asd) is a small boy who lover trains, never has had friends etc.
Could anyone here give me a description of how someone with aspergers can be, or how it is for you?
Thank you
