Something is going to happen to me.
I'm going to die.

They said the same thing to my mom and she is still kicking, you have no idea how much time you have left, we are all going to die at some point.

I don't even know what dying people do.
How do they behave?
Not how I behave.
I am irrationally ignoring my illness!
See, I can't even do the dying thing properly!
I have no respect for anyone with my undying-like behaviour!

just try to lead you life as you did before you found out! After all, the minute we are all born in essence is the start of our passing... yes, maybe ignore your illness unless you need to be proactive when needed. Dont let it control you!You are certainly well liked around these parts! So lets start with removing that illusion from ones noggin! ;)

If you try to live your life as before, people judge the f**k out of you.
People.
Judge.
The f**k.

i'm so sorry, raleigh. you are such a valuable WP member. no one should have to face what you are facing at the age you're facing it. you do it with grace.

We are all going to die, yes.

This is like people saying, "Everyone's a bit autistic."
When people say, "Were all going to die." It's like they're saying you have nothing to complain about.
It's all the same, whether it's six months or sixty years.
Well, I'm sorry but I beg to differ.
There are degrees of dying.
This is not the same as knowing you will die 'one day'.

In essence, they're telling you to shut up.

No, i never meant it that way at all! :( ... Im sorry you saw my statement in that way, that was certainly never my intention at all!. I can be ok in some areas of ideas but fall very short in others! I am truly sorry what you are going through and it genuinely upsets me! Since coming to this site and you been one of the first i noticed. I have great respect for you. Please dont think otherwise! I say what i say in kind but often put foot to mouth!

^ no, it's not just you.
Everyone says that.
Heard it so many times.
I think it's like the accepted response or something.
I can't help but find it invalidating.

And is the thought of everyone dying really supposed to make me feel better? :?
It's odd what people say.
But I know I've said the same thing without thinking.
So I'm just as guilty.
Never realised how it felt on the other end.

I would rather people say something like, "I can't imagine how you feel."
That to me is honest, because I'm sure I had no idea how it would feel before all this happened.

I am out of sorts.
Pay no attention to me.

*stands in naughty corner*

Sorry to upset people.
I'll come back when I'm feeling better.

^ you have been a wonderful support.
And even if I don't answer you, I soak up your wisdom.

But I get so tired.
And I don't speak of it.
And then I get like I am now.

i have a friend who just died of breast cancer. her response to her terminal diagnosis was to live "very fast." one of her choices was to visit paris.
