Not surprisingly, we don't see eye to eye.

Pentecostals aren't known for being brainy* and for being weird.

In contrast are more mainstream Churches which not only recognize autism but may been founded by people with Aspergers.

* Some are clearly more intelligent than I. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_T._Bakker

I had suspected for some time that Martin Luther had been on the spectrum.

Wasn't he 40 something before discovering he liked sex?

Something like that. Then again, it must be remembered he had been a Catholic priest who hadn't indulged in pedophilia. He had suggested Priests should have the right to marry if they wanted, and to his surprise, a bunch of German and Swiss priests did just that. Finally, he went and tied the knot with a run-away nun.

I've heard a specific joke about multiple devout catholic men.

It's that they discovered how much they liked religion at age ten and decided to become a Priest.

At thirteen they discover how much they like girls and decide to become something else.

Luther wasn't forced into the clergy and doesn't seem to have ANY sex life until he married.

Give the era he was in I'd say that does sound like Aspergers.

John Wesley seems like an even more obvious case.....least to me.
