You were out of my life a long time ago.
I found that I can't act like I care when I don't care about you any more.

I spoke to my GF earlier today. I asked her if our date will still happen tommorow and she said yes.

I feel a paralysing guilt about starting a relationship with you; I know it won't work out because of the way I am, I don't want to hurt you, and I feel selfish for having let myself entertain the idea of friendship, let alone romance.

In other words, I'm broken, and I'm sorry.

When I feel like crying

it's actually because I feel sad

not because I'm trying to manipulate you

not because I'm a bad person and I feel like doing a bad thing

it's not about making you feel like an inadequate partner

but when your response is

"I'm glad I don't have those problems"

and

"I can manipulate them (you) into saying anything I want them to say"

really

that's the opposite of help.

I love you, but I don't know if I can be with you.
I feel like this girl needs me, and she can make me happy, while you seem to want a girlfriend because you can't be that long without having sex. You can make me happy too, but I don't want to be used just because you need to lose your load.

What we have, is so damn special. We may not love each other anymore, but we sure love each other as friends. We feel so comfortable with each other, we have been through so much together. I think we possibly could be meant to be together, but I am happy with the way things are now. The way we are able to just cuddle and watch TV without having any feelings for each other. The way you kissed my forehead that one time when you left and we both know that it doesn't mean anything.
I know we've had our ups and downs, but the bond we got in the end is stronger than any bond I have ever had. I hope it does not change. You mean the world to me, you're my best friend and I love you to bits.

Every friend I've mentioned my crush to has said the same thing about long distance relationships like the on-again off-again one he's in now: "Oh, those never work out." I hope they're right and I get the opportunity to take this boy out sometime.
