I'm not superstitious, either. I love black cats (I love ALL cats!) and, if something goes wrong, I have a built in excuse. I can say, "Oh, it's Friday the 13th). (Rather than saying, "Oh, I'm a klutz," if I slip and fall).

When they say that walking under ladders is bad luck, they don't tell you that the bad luck belongs to the hapless person standing on the ladder at the time. (TIMBER!! !)

Broken mirrors are said to cause seven years of bad luck, but a broken house of mirrors usually means seven years of payments through the nose.

As for black cats crossing your path... well, that all depends on the size and breed of the cat.

i dont actually believe in the suspitions of friday 13th, and so far i havent had any bad luck(touch wood) lol

Bad luck yesterday:
I lost my cell phone.

Bad luck today:
My alarm didn't go off therefore missing my shows to record.
My friend's dad is hogging the phone at the hour we always talk.

Thursday the twelfth always seems to be worse than Friday the thirteenth IMO.

I accidentally slept in today. It's thunderstorming, too. Maybe there is something to Friday the 13th after all.

I think seeing people get hyped about it is a little funny, when I was a kid I would purposely break mirrors and step on cracks to see how other people would react, the more supersticious people hated me, lol.

H'm, Friday the 13th. My brother was born on Friday the thirteenth. Down the street is a house that has a total of 5 black cats always lounging on the front lawn. Some with gorgeous green eyes, others with golden brown eyes. Nope, no negative associations for me, at least. :wink:
