Can someone tell me the definition of bipolar and what it is like having it? My friend has it.

Basically, you go through periods of deep depression, where you feel sad and hopeless, and periods of mania, where you are extra energetic, talk fast, do impulsive things, and might have delusions. I don't have bipolar myself so I can't tell you what it's like to have it.
