How easily can doctors lose credibility?

I'm thinking of becoming an optometrist. I also believe in some alternative medicine and paranormal stuff. Will people label me a quack if they find out about that stuff?

I don't honestly think these beliefs would accurately reflect your credentials. It'd have people turn their heads if you were to mention it, but it's not going to make you any less of a doctor for believing in such things. So long as you do your job well enough, that's really all that's going to matter.

Its good that you're googling him, but 8O are you saying that you never heard of Ben Carson before? He was a GOP presidential candidate until only a few days ago .
