I hate when people claim "Blinded by the Light" as misheard. It's not at all misheard, he's clearly saying douche, he just wasn't trying to. But we all clearly heard it.

Also I laughed at an interview with Ozzy where he talked about the misheard lyric in paranoid. He "I'm telling people to enjoy life, not enjoy life," but with his accent it sounded the exact same, like "enja".

And of course she says I’m normal and says the only thing I had as a child was language. Huh? I must have been a shitty person then and maybe a difficult child I was who had to be labeled because of incompetent school staff and mean kids who didn’t accept differences and because I was trying to be “normal.” :/

I'm not sure why I think that's so hilarious, but I do. One of those things that I randomly find way funnier than it should be. :lmao:

Me too.

Speaking of Calvin Harris, his song with Rihanna, "We Found Love", has the lyric "We found love in a hopeless place." I first heard it as "With our love and our hope displaced."

Original Lyrics:
Blood is on the dance floor! Blood is on the knife!

I hate it when folks hate the truth.

It's

"Blinded by the light

Revved up like Deuce

Another runner in the night"

"Deuce" as in "Deuce Coupe" (the car). Substitute "Deuce" with "douche" and wouldnt even make any sense.

Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson.

Misheard Lyrics:
Annie are you okay
Won't you tell us that you're walking?
Then the sound of the bedroom
That his truck blew
And crushed into Annie
He committed your apartment
Had the blood stains on the carpet
Then you ran into the bad room
You were strep dog
It was Sharptooth!

Original Lyrics:
Annie are you okay
Won't you tell us that you're okay?
Then a sound at the window
Then he struck you
A crescendo, Annie
He came into your apartment
Left the bloodstains in the carpet
Then you ran into the bedroom
You were struck down
It was your doom!

That's astounding!

First: apparently you didn't know that Nat King Cole was not a 90's gangsta rapper (he was a pop crooner of the Fifties when they didn't put the S word into pop songs).

And second: you seem to think that pieces of feces commonly ply the seas. When most folks hear a word in a song that sounds like the S word, but it's followed by the verb "sail" they generally use common sense to deduce that the word that sounded like the S word is probably really "ship".

In a couple songs I've misheard "rich" as b***h. One was Kiss by Prince, and the other was a song called Rich Girl.

When that first came out and was played on the radio I thought they lyrics were just nonsense sound

'Any any yo ke
Any yo ke
Any yo ke
Any'

It was about 15 years later I realised what they lyrics actually are.
