Strange nerve sensations in my body, test results healthy?
I once experienced whiplash in my car about 4 years ago and since then, I think my nerves have never been the same. I think that stress might be exacerbating the symptoms? It is all on the left side (left leg, arm, foot, hand, pelvis, left side of spine, neck, etc.). Lately, the sensations have been happening more often. The usual off and on electric shock feeling I get behind my left eye, was stronger and accompanied with what I would describe as a "warm/light burning" sensation? Also a particular area of my brain feels the nerve sensations (electrical not burning though). This is off and on and never constant though. I do have a habit of using my computer for hours on end, but I'm using f.lux, which is a blue light filter application, which I thought would help. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. I have been exercising more often and trying to use my computer less, read books more, have better posture, etc. The doctor doesn't think I need a CT scan, but was willing to give me one if I really wanted to have my brain looked at. He believes it is stress and that I need to calm down and also use my computer less? Anyone on here have issues with their nerves like this?
Have you tried a back specialist? I feel electrical zaps on my body (not behind my eye) and have problems with my back and yes if you have problems with your back it can affect your nerves. Have you had xrays on your back? Telling you it's over "stress" when you had whiplash is an odd assesment unless the accident left you with post traumatic stress.
Stress itself can also cause physical problems.
