I really have an issue with it! When I ask, it sounds like there's a full stop at the end of each word, like,
"Would. You. Like. To. Come. Over. To. My. Place. Tomorrow."
It just sounds it's been rehearsed and I'm struggling to remember the words, but it's not that at all— really I just feel very awkward and I'm trying to remember what words I want to use.
Does anyone else have this problem? :?

My problem is that I don't want anyone to come over to my house.

I can relate to that.

Yes I am the same. I don't like having any visitors round our house full stop.

I personally don't like having people over to my house, mostly because my living situation and family life is far from ideal. Occasionally, if I'm the only one home, I'll invite people in to meet my pets, but usually I prefer to go to other people's houses or meet up in a restaurant or something.

This,

In my neighborhood I don't want the people of ill repute I live around making note of what I got in my apartment. Me having a $3000 computer ain't nobodies business. The people I live with would just be after my stuff trying to steal it and I don't need that. Besides not only is my computer encrypted but good luck finding it, I find unique places for stuff. Wireless input devices and extra long wires and I have a Desktop that exist in the void :-)

I had more trouble going to people's houses. I didn't like it. I've invited people to mine a couple of times but it was okay because I was controlling the situation. If your at someone else's then they control things...

I tend to get out of the way and tidy up or find something to do. My husband will chat to them. Nobody ever comes to visit me, any visitors are for him or my sons anyway. I'll be polite and make a hot drink for them, but I'd sooner not engage in conversation.

I don't usually have trouble inviting people over, I prefer to control the space when I interact. It just makes it easier and less stressful for me. But most of the time I'm secretly praying please say no please say no because I normally only invite people over due to social convention.

I'd rather go to other peoples places than have people come over to my apartment. Perhaps if I was more clean and tidy, I wouldn't mind having people over.

I like inviting girls over to my place for some "fun time"

Eww sex is gross I like playing Mario Kart, that's fun time for me.

But seriously though, I swear to God if I ever get a girlfriend or become the ultimate hunk and attract all the ladies, then I will start cleaning my room and instruct my roommate to clean the god damn living room as well.

Because if a girl ever came walking into my apartment now, one look at the living room and kitchen and she'd be like oh hell naw then just storm out.

My room looks like it was raided by ogres.

Have a friend from interstate staying with us until next week and my wife spent two days before he arrived, cleaning up the house. The house is never as clean as when we have visitors over.
