Some people really don't know the difference between a harmless little joke and being just evil, and not in a good way. Sometimes pranks can backfire and the prank victim is badly hurt physically and/or emotionally. You should avoid playing jokes on someone who is very sensitive, elderly, frail, has no sense of humor, or any joke that makes a person cry, ruins their birthday, or ends up causing a world war.

I agree with you, alot of people can't tell the difference between a little prank & just being very mean. I hear stories that pranks backfire & people are Stupid Enough to play pranks on animals (they don't have any heart)

My parents were married on April Fools Day in 1966 & my first cat was born on April 1st, her name was Jennifer April.

People played pranks on me, some of the pranks, I didn't fall for it. I better watch out tomorrow, but I don't know alot of people to want to play pranks on me.

My mom always outdoes herself for April Fool's Day. Today I found:
- everything on the sink counter switched to the opposite side of the counter
- everything on the fridge turned upside down
- giant spoons in the compartment where I get my cereal spoons
- our cow calendar changed to December 25
- a stuffed animal stuffed into my pencil case
- a book (Dr. Seuss's ABC) in my binder
- plastic food in my lunch box

I don't mind a little joke.

If I do joke around, I keep it simple like: It's going to snow today---April Fools!

But I don't like elaborate pranks and practical jokes.

Every year, April 1st is one of my Dad's favorite days. When I moved away from my parent's home, he continued his tradition of pranks with phone calls, typically telling me that some calamity or other happened. Some of them really had me worried as he really doesn't get that some people care about other people. He's getting aged now, but I just got a call from him. Didn't make much sense, he flubbed the story & timing but it's important to him somehow so I played along...

My boss called an end of day meeting on Thursday... to discuss pranking one guy at work who usually pranks others. Sometimes this guy is funny, other times he's just an a-hole. So, I was all about it. I brought a handful of firecrackers and we taped a bunch together in to two bombs.. others were looking out, a couple guys blocked the doors to his shop so he couldn't bolt away and we lit 'em both and threw them in. They weren't very loud, but he was scared so we all had a good laugh.

I also brought a bunch of different coloured glitter because the boss wanted to put it in the vents of that guy's work van so it blows all over the place.. we didn't have access to his van, but we agreed that we should just do it whenever we get the chance in the future so I left the glitter there so we can mess with him later. :D
