I like One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, Sci fi movies like Alien, Fifth Element. I also love animated film, Spirited Away is fantastic.

I haven't seen Cat Ballou in ages, but the first two are also favorites of mine. The Fellowship is good suspenseful story telling (as opposed to later epic) and Michael Caine is great in MCC.

Part of my love for FOTR is that I hadn't read the books yet. After I read them the other two installments weren't as magical. They are still great but not favorites.
