Original Star Wars, not the crap they call Star Wars now. Though some of the expended universe is good too.

Hey mikie1091, I am really glad your back online but be careful with how many threads you create in one day. I think your ok if there isn't multiple threads with the same topic which best I could tell there isn't. Still maybe you should create three threads a day, I think people would find your topics much more interesting and it gives people a chance to reply. Don't however lose your curiosity, the more information we have about life are our surroundings the better we are to adapt to different situations.

I hope you understand, I can reword this if you need.

A Christmas Carol. I like how a character can change from being nasty to being a Sweet Pea overnight.

my second favorite movie is the Shawshank redemption because it epitomizes that you can't keep the human spirit down forever.

Jeux d'enfants (English: Love Me If You Dare)

Marion Cotillard. Gorgeous, mischievous - would probably make the movie worth watching without subtitles.

It's a romantic comedy. At times, it's a very wry dark romantic comedy.

It's about a French boy who befriends a Polish girl who lives nearby by giving her a precious possession of his, then awkwardly trying to get it back. She says he must complete a dare to win the prize back, and the game has begun.
They spend their childhood and teen years getting in trouble over these bets, some of which become pointedly passive-aggressive as they get older and develop feelings for each other they aren't comfortable expressing.

I think the movie has a happy ending.
I've been told that "concerns" other people, including one person I was dating (specifically, "Should I be concerned about this?")

I have two favorite movies: Spirited Away and When Marnie Was There.

Pulp Fiction and Spy Game are two I can think of off the top of my head.

American Beauty.

I find Lester's awakening to be inspirational, and the struggles of each of the characters feels very real to me, not something I often find myself saying about a movie.

Natural Born Killers.

I actually find it to be romantic. And I don't usually use that word. But their connection in the movie is the type I best understand. It's also an intelligent, albeit dated commentary about how that generation glorified people like that.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Such a real, sad portrait of love gone wrong and the helpless feeling as it falls apart. Watching everything you love crumble. Struggling to hold onto cherished memories while the hurt inside devours everything.

Run Ronnie Run.

Because I wanted to put a comedy and this is my favorite. Bob and David will always be the best.

2001: A Space Odyssey

Amadeus. I saw it in the movies when I was a teenager and it's been my favourite movie ever since. The acting is flawless. The music is superb. The costumes and set design was marvelous. It's perfect from beginning to end. Not one superfluous, time wasting scene in the whole flick. Very educational and entertaining at the same time.

i could probably watch "xanadu" repeatedly, on a continuous loop. what eye candy. it brings me back to my youth, a more hopeful, more bright and sunny time.
