I don't like chat rooms, just because I feel I have to respond quickly and that makes me nervous. This is also why I don't like shooter games because things happen quickly. I like to think everything through.

I refuse to use a chatroom. I had bad experiences in the past...one involved opening a link which ruined my old computer from like five years back. Another involved opening a link containing a disgusting, perverse image. I never used one since the latter incident.

Well at least now you're considered a "jaded internet user."
As for me, I didn't even know this site had a chatroom. I just realized the Chat button is right next to the Forums button. I feel like some kind of dumb ass.
I use and like chatrooms , It's like a bridge between posting and real life chat. In a chat room i can easily leave when i want to and people won't think I'm rude because there are many people in the chat room so your not abandoning someone . I can't follow all the conversations so I watch for a bit and only join if someone is talking about something i'm interested in and then I just try to follow that conversation and ignore what else is going on unles someone speaks to me directly or asks for help and i'm in a position too.
Yeah. This is probably what really kills
me. It's like being at a crowded party.
But, even with just a couple of people,
it's tough, unless I'm REALLY comfortable
with them.

yes, I use the wrongplanet chatroom daily, well lurk a lot but that is just me focusing on other chatrooms that he uses too, but yes I do talk on occasions
I'm known as "__Pikachu__" on there which is annoying but I don't have much choice in that
No. My computer won't hold the chatroom here, and I've disliked other chatrooms. I tend to avoid them. I like these better - they give me time to correct what I've said and I don't have to respond immediatly to a thought.
