CNN Article: "North Korean state media op-ed calls Trump 'wise,' Clinton 'dull'"

Quote:
Writing in DPRK Today, a self-described Chinese North Korean scholar named Han Yong Mook called the presumptive Republican nominee "wise" and and a "far-sighted presidential candidate ... The president that U.S. citizens must vote for is not that dull Hillary ... but Trump, who spoke of holding direct conversation with North Korea," he wrote.
DPRK Today is the official, state-run news source for the government of North Korea, an oppressive communist dictatorship.

At first I thought this seems odd. Aren't NK friendly with China? And Trump wants to take on China.

Then I recalled Trump talking about wanting to recall troops and have countries protected by US troops pay for that protection or lose it. Hello South Korea. Hello DMZ. Now it makes sense.

Trump is actually highly popular in China, they would much prefer Trump to Hillary. There have been multiple articles written about this recently, they like and respect the fact that he doesn't want to force the American system and values on their country while promising a rollback of the US military abroad. I imagine North Korea would like Trump for the same reason. China is a very smart country, they know we tolerate economic warfare from them and enact policies that they think are absolutely insane.

Trump will be the best president for dealing with China, he'll be the best president in dealing with Russia, Trump's foreign policy is one of the most refreshing things about his candidacy. While ninny weak leaders like Justin Trudeau and David Cameron might shudder at Trump upsetting their sensibilities(they are all allied globalists with those in our country) we don't have to worry or care what they think as we're not waging war against Canada or the UK. To achieve a safer planet we need to work with the Russians and Chinese.

Actually, not really. Relations are at an all time low. First the Sino-Soviet split caused rifts (DPRK aligned more to Soviet model at least in theory) and more recently China has been embarrassed by North Korea especially by its missile launches.

It may reach a point where China feels it needs to intervene directly, as it is not at all happy about North Korea causing issues in the region, and attempting to flex its muscles so near to China.

China itself is more expansionist of late, but doesn't like North Korea's style.

You need to understand how Chinese propaganda works, which is more nuanced than North Korea's. China is not ready to denounce North Korea outright just yet. However pretty strong words have been exchange between the to and a lot less toned down than on previous occasions. There is no love lost between them.

North Korea is a thorn in China's side, the only reason why this is not said explicitly is becuase China is careful to not admit to making too many mistakes, which is why Mao is still revered in China, despite no longer adhering to his ideology.

North Korea game is to keep alive the war state to excuse the atrocious conditions people live under. That is why they suddenly blow up in barrages rhetoric all the time even when they are ignored. They make the myth become a reality.

Also some of the motivation of proliferation is good old fashioned extortion IMO. They have done it before, and the have got aid.

Well, yeah...Straight from the Trump play book it would seem:

We want to be a movement that can conquer the broad masses. Propaganda should be popular, not intellectually pleasing. It is not the task of propaganda to discover intellectual truths. Those are found in other circumstances, I find them when thinking at my desk, but not in the meeting hall.

Basically, tell a lie enough and people will begin to believe it.

What's amazing is that this guy will flip-flop and threaten and say anything at any moment. And the people, which whom would not allow this behaviour in anybody else will allow it from him.

He can contradict himself literally in one night several times.

The absolutely fake information he puts out is amazing. It is devisive and hateful and prejudicial. He is a consummate salesman who has simply tapped into unbridled anger in America. If you believe anything this asshat says, it is straight out of sales 101.

He gets the thumbs up fron NK because Ol' Squattypants McRoundface sees a kindred spirit.
