Today, Clinton finds her self embroiled yet again in another controversy about how she looks and dresses on the campaign.

In 2008, her dress and hairdo were controversial because she lacked the "fashion" that was expected of presidential candidates.
Limbaugh famously said

Quote:
“Will Americans want to watch a woman get older before their eyes on a daily basis? And that woman, by the way, is not going to want to look like she’s getting older

George Lopez on his show said
Quote:
“Why must she dress that way? I think she’s confused about her gender!”

Now the controversy is she too fashionable? Does she spend too much time on fashion? Did she spend too much on her outfits?

To compare her to other Candidates:

Trump spends almost $17,000 per suit which are Italian made (he brags about it) and shirts are also high end.
Clinton was caught wearing an Armani Jacket believed to have cost $12,495
Sanders hasn't revealed what brand of suits and shirts he wears during this primary season.

Is Clinton too fashionable? Does she spend too much time on fashion? Did she spend too much on her outfits? Is she trying to looking younger? Is she trying to hide her age?

I don't care what she or Trump wears as long as they have clothes on. Trump can save his suits for the White House.

No one should give a care about this.

I got a sudden flash of what it would be like if they didn't. 8O Nurseangela, you can't do this to suggestible people!

She's Barack Obama in a pant suit. That Armani looks like a rug, which is symbolic of everything that's swept under it. And as far as her hairdo, well, only her taxidermist knows.

Women can't win no matter what they do. For fck's sake. Why does anyone care?

I would have no problem whatsoever with a female president. But foremost is electing a good president. Clinton doesn't fit the bill. I'm less interested in making history than I am in getting America back on track.

Because people want their candidates to look good.

I mean she was constantly reported on due to her hair when she was First Lady, it dominated the press cycle.
When she was running in 2008 she was dogged for how she looked and it was jokes in many of the Democratic debates and the media.
When she was SoS the press reported on her outfits, make up and glasses.
Now we are back to her hair and outfits.

The issue was that she was wearing the expensive wardrobe while delivering a speech on income inequality. It is a context issue rather than a fashion issue.

I don't know what you mean, this is a vital, crucial issue for the whole world and harping about the way people look is indubitable proof of being a deep thinker with a full and meaningful life :P
