Sparks (Ron and Russel Mael)
I love. Love. Love. Love. LOVE. Sparks. Russ used to be a bit of a piece back in the day but time hasn't been too kind to him... or his voice
Oh, me too! They do whatever they want and they do it brilliantly. Propaganda and No.1 song in Heaven are probably my favourite albums of theirs. But Indiscreet has some stunning songwriting on it. Just such a cool, fun band and no one beats their stage presence.
Well, everyone gets old eventually... IMO he looks great for nearly 70 though! They're also pretty stylish sixty-somethings haha.
Not everyone gets old. My favourite cousin was dead at 20.

Do you know what, I even thought about rephrasing that but thought I was being too paranoid and that people would understand the sense of what I was saying?
I'm also fully aware that people can die young, I had a close friend who died in her teens. Again I'm sorry you took that phrase at face value, but I get that it's going to happen.

Depends on what you mean by "crush."
If you mean musicians I'm fascinated with and find inspiring, then David Eugene Edwards (16 Horsepower, Wovenhand), Rob "The Baron" Miller (Amebix, Tau Cross), and Blake Schwarzenbach (Jawbreaker, Jets to Brazil, forgetters) are all great.
If you mean people I'm attracted to, then I guess Marina Diamandis (Marina & The Diamonds) and MIA...

Different types of crushes on different types of artists I suppose.
Female vocalists - always and forever I'll have one on Martina Topley Bird. I've also really liked what Sevdaliza's been doing lately, it's really dark, warped, and Jungian but she clearly gets what she's doing even if she's not 100% cognitively collected on what it all means.
Male vocalists - Redder's is seriously off the chain (another great example - look up Pound 4 Pound with him, Sam Binga, and Rider Shafique). You can hear him across different tracks and almost not recognize him he's got that much versatility:
Also liking the stuff that DRS has been doing with Tyler Daley. The Children of Zeus and Lenzman stuff is also really good (more DRS and Daley):
As for producers who I've had a creative crush on - both in the emotional levers of their own music and how much they inspire me in my own work:
I'd also have to add Stray, Sabre, Kid Drama/Jon Convex, Spectrasoul, Consequence, Mark System, Goldie, Blocks and Escher. I'll abstain from posting more Youtube videos for now though - you get the drift, soulful and pensive dnb is a big thing with me.

My heart is divided between Bjork and Alison Goldfrapp. Not even too sure what either of them looks like... it's their voices that get me, plus the off-the-wall strength of character that shines through in their music. I also completely get crushes on voice actors and podcasters.
Bjork is as quirky in her looks as she is in her sound. But quite attractive IMHO.
She is descended from those Norse Vikings who settled Iceland a thousand years ago, but she has an odd mix of White and East Asian looks in her facial features. An interesting anthropological specimen.
I suspect some of her ancestors were Finns or Lapps, who have Asian features, and who had often been taken in raids as slaves by the Vikings.
