There's absolutely no reason to feel guilty about not being attracted to someone. Physical appearance is just one of the elements we consider when sifting through potential matches and picking out a mate. Obviously it's not the only thing to take into account, but it's certainly not something that most people can/should disregard.
I see it like this
Attraction + Amity = Potential Partner Attraction + No Amity = Potential Fling No Attraction + Amity = Potential Friend No Attraction + No Amity= Someone you don't go out of your way to hang around

I think that it is fine to have preferences of your own. I think that what people find attractive can be subjective. For me, what I find unattractive, is an unhealthy appearance. Generally the person's personality will be important too.
