If it's really that bad, take some ibuprofen, get a hot water bottle, call in sick, turn off your phone, hide your computer, and watch movies in sweatpants.

If it's worse than that, consult a doctor.

I second the consult a doctor. Too many women feel like they have to live with these symptoms, but there may be relief. Some women take antidepressants or the pill to aleviate symptoms

I just annuonce to my friends and family:

Sorry, I'm not nice, I bite today. Proceed with caution on your own risk.

Surprisingly, it works. People don't bother me needlessly and don't take it personally if I act awful.

Premenstrual dismorphic disorder is really common for us woman on the spectrum. If it's messing up your life you might want to consider low dose antidepressants.

It's a good idea to consult a doctor for either an antidepressant or even to see if a hormonal birth control method such as pills, Depo-Provera shot, a patch, implants, or even a hormonal IUD that lasts from about 3-5 years. One benefit of the hormonal IUD's is that they even stop periods after a while, or at least make them very light. There are even birth control pills which only allow you to have a period every 3 months or so, which could work. Obviously, your doctor would know what form of treatment is best for you.

That is awesome that this works so well for you!

I tell my sister that, "I has to go the 'Number 3'. It would not be safe for you." It is based on a quote from the movie, Home (one of my favorite movies).

Home wrote:
Gratuity 'Tip' Tucci: Okay, pee break.
Oh: I, too, has to break pee. Or as you calls it 'Number 1'. We also has the 'number 2'.
Gratuity 'Tip' Tucci: Okay.
Oh: and the 'Number 3'.
Gratuity 'Tip' Tucci: Okay.
Oh: It is a good thing I dooz not has to go the 'Number 3'. It would not be safe for you.
Gratuity 'Tip' Tucci: Urrgh.
Oh: We only dooz it once a year. I would not call it a holiday. But you dooz need to take the day off.

1. It is a bodily function in many ways much like 'number 1' and 'number 2'.
2. It is not safe for people to be around me.
3. It is not once a year but it is a regular, infrequent occurrence compared to 'number 1' and 'number 2'.
4. I need to take the day, or several days, off.

I stay in my room with the door closed, because nothing I think, say, or do is nice. I'm even mean to the pet cat. :| Poor Kukki. Sometimes I'll tell my family I need to be alone, or just to leave me alone.
