I figured it was about time I got involved with an Autism-related forum.
I have been doing some research and reflecting on my own experiences, and I believe that I may be on the spectrum. I suspected that I just did not have enough time to socialize, but now that I have that time and find myself increasingly isolated, I think otherwise. Previously, I have been treated for social anxiety, but I connect with many of the other listed characteristics. I am now contemplating pursuing a formal diagnosis.
I am here to get to know others and see how others approach leading a joyous, fulfilled life. I look forward to getting to know the community better and finding support along my journey.

To respond to 23andaspie, yes! I grew up with the games and shows so mew and the ancient mew card from the movie premiere have special places in my heart. The extra w is a play on www and usually makes the username available in games and otherwise.

Almost 1 year later now, I have my formal diagnosis of ASD and GAD... It was a wild ride trying to find a group that would work with an adult, in my area, but after lots of testing and interviews... Here I am again...
Now I am back to research what types of therapies and treatments will be beneficial for me, especially with regards to pursuing education or work, but without trying to radically "erase" or "fix" me.
