Wiring is a reality I share and there is no intention to deny it at all on my part. It was the exclusive assumption of hopelessness that I was actually referring to. Perhaps that wasn't as clear as it might have been.

Getting lost in an obsession.

This.

Nah, here's my serious answer:

It doesn't always involve hate, the past, hopelessness, weaknesses, or worrying.
It's dehumanization.

I would have thought a meteor hitting the earth or a cataclysmic solar flare would not be a dangerous thing but a good thing, it would focus the attention on a disaster-type scenario rather than worrying about who to employ, what race you are, what difficulties you might have etc. There would be looting, economic collapse, jobs would disappear as people would likely flee to someplace safe whilst some of us would likely be left behind to salvage things. Nothing interesting ever happens in my life, the good things in the world only seem to be reserved for the really disabled people or the really lucky people.

__opening the refrigerator and realizing I'm out of coffee.

I think it's counter-productive to turn our focus to things of which are negative. Why would we want to think of things that are dangerous, when, many people here, express that they have to put great effort into doing the opposite. Please forgive me if I am being rude. It just seems a wast of our thoughts/mental energy.

I don't think a person is weak for reflecting upon the past. Sometimes, it cannot be helped. I understand that well, I believe.

The reason why I feel the way I do is because I have had reflected overly upon regrets and upon what happened in the past--and I became lost as a result, unable to think in an objective manner.

As a result, I let myself sink into the Abyss. The lower level you get to in the Abyss, the less effective ladders to the top of the whirlpool become.

It's just that it's better to move on than to reflect upon what's already done. But I understand how very strong people can't help feeling rueful because of what occurred in the past.

Anything requiring street smarts to survive. At least, it would be for me.

^ My Response. Till I realize that the OP didn't mean it literally.. Then I'm like an Invitation to complete a sentence? Atleast when I misread. Though definitly the nature to be manipulated.

Getting depression.

Since I'm terrible with people, I have no friends or partner to help me through it. Makes it so much more powerful when combined with loneliness.
